“It was a good set up and organization of how we were matched in the app/website, but the music was way too loud. We had to yell just to try to hear the person across from us, and some of us have voices that don't carry. In addition, there were no NA drink options included, even though the invite said they would be. So, I'd say the atmosphere was 1-2-stars.”

“Its a way better experience than matching with people on the apps. If it is going to be logistically possible, please have all the participants meet each other for 5 mins instead of doing just 10 meetups for the entire event because after the event a lot of people leave (if they have plans) instead of hanging out and talking to people they couldn't meet during those 10 rounds.”

“Super fun event, loved meeting Tony, and loved that so many lesbians showed up to participate! Some things that were hard: 1) It was so loud. Very often whoever I was talking to, I was missing entire sentences of what they were saying, and both of us were saying “what?“ and having to repeat things back to each other. Possibly a bigger space so we could be more spread out? Or a space that’s carpeted? 2) My gender preference was just “cis female“ yet my second pairing was with a trans woman. There were also at least three cis-woman-looking participants there that I never got paired with. That doesn’t give me a lot of confidence in the matching algorithm. And finally, 3) I had to sit out for three rounds. When there’s only 11 rounds to start with, and I can only do 8, it doesn’t feel like I’m participating as fully as I would’ve liked. Otherwise, a fun introduction for me to speed dating, and I look forward to the next event!”
